These single-phase belt-drive HVAC motors are designed to be held in a cradle-base mount with vibration-reducing rings on each end. Also called resilient ring mounts, the cradle suspends the motor and isolates the motor shell from the base to reduce vibration transfer to the driven equipment. Single-phase motors are the most common form of a two-wire AC power supply that consists of one power wire and one neutral wire, often used in electrical outlets in homes.
