Also known as JICĀ (JointĀ IndustrialĀ Council)Ā fittings,Ā these provide a tight metal-to-metal seal on tubing that is flared toĀ 37°.Ā They withstand highĀ pressure,Ā so theyāre often used in hydraulicĀ applications.Ā Made from 316 stainlessĀ steel,Ā they resist corrosion from water andĀ chemicals.Ā A complete fitting requires a nut and a sleeveĀ (ferrule)Ā for each tubeĀ end.Ā Nuts and sleeves are soldĀ separately.
Fittings with female tube end have an internal flare that mates with the male tube end of anotherĀ fitting.
